Do you have a voice that dares to be heard? Do you possess the courage to challenge the status quo and speak boldly about issues harming South Africa?
Truth Report is launching The Next Voice of Truth, a nationwide quest to uncover and mentor the next generation of podcasting talent. This is your chance to win R10,000 in cash, podcast equipment worth R30,000, exclusive merch, mentorship, studio time, and your very own Truth Report channel, giving you a national platform to grow your audience, build sustainability, and anchor long-term success.
How to Enter
It’s simple. No forms. No barriers. Just your voice. Three winners will be selected.
- Record a short video: 30 to 60 seconds of you commenting on a topical South African news story.
- Post it to your own social media: (Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, or YouTube).
- Use the official hashtag: #TruthPodcasterSearch (you can @mention us too)
- We’ll scan all entries and shortlist the most powerful voices.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need expensive equipment or a polished studio. We’re looking for raw talent with something to say. Bonus points if you can:
- Select it – Choose a news story that really matters.
- Frame it – Put it into context. Tell us why it’s important.
- Present it – Deliver it with confidence, clarity, and personality.
- Align it – Show us you fit the Truth Report ethos: bold, independent, unfiltered.
What You Can Win
Each of the three winners will receive:
- Your own Truth Report channel, giving you a national platform and the opportunity to build a sustainable future as a podcaster.
- R10,000 cash prize.
- Podcast equipment worth R30,000.
- Studio time to record professionally.
- Mentorship from Rob Hersov, Renaldo Gouws, Kuhle Ngcamane, and Sama Sambit.
- Exclusive Truth Report merchandise.

Answering FAQ’s
Q: Should the video be strictly 1 minute, or do we have the grace to go over by 30 seconds?
A: Strictly 30-60 seconds.
Q: Should I only post one video for entry, or can multiple videos be posted under the same hashtag?
A: You can post all on your social media with the hashtag, and enter more than once.
Q: How are the submissions going to be scored to decide winners, i.e. social media analytics?
A: Our creators will go through all entries and we will select the top 9, after which the final 3 will be chosen. We allow an entire month for entrants to upload on their socials, and as such, it would be unfair to rate on analytics.
